Vacation Care

EPOSHC offers an engaging and educations play-based program that supports multiple development areas and provides endless opportunities for enjoyment and engagement for our children.

Centre visits and excursions are integral to our Vacation Care Program, offering enjoyment, stimulation, challenges, new experiences, and fostering a connection with the wider community.

Details of each day, including dates, locations, activities, transportation options, and fees, will be communicated in advance.

Costs for centre visits and excursions are separate from the daily care charge and will be clearly outlined in the Vacation Care Program beforehand.

Vacation Care - Additional Information

  • Vacation Care cancellation notice period is 7 days' notice via email, or and absence request via Xplor.  No exceptions will be made as this forms part of the terms and conditions of (casual) bookings for Vacation Care. This also includes children who are away sick on the day and casual bookings made within the notice period.

  • EPOSHC currently accommodates up to 110 children each day; we require a reduced number of children due to the longer hours and staffing arrangements and ratios.

  • EPOSHC will collect children's Lost Property through Vacation Care, at the end of the the holiday period, all Lost Property will be transferred to the school's 'Lost Property' at the Big Shed. Vacation Care lost property (casual clothes or unbranded school hats, etc) will be kept for an additional week. If no owners claim the items, they will be donated to charity.

  • Although EPOSHC endeavors to operate without a waitlist, this can still occur on some days. When attempting to book Vacation Care on a day that is full, the Xplor Home app will either not show Vacation Care as an option or will display a message stating, “no space, a request will be sent”. If you receive a rejection notification, your child has been placed on a waitlist and the service will be in touch if space becomes available. If you receive an acceptance, you have been booked in.  We will strive to advertise any available positions each morning so parents can secure them if needed. We will post updates on the Xplor Home app and Facebook as these are the quickest ways to communicate availability.

  • Any booked days that require permission forms (excursion or swimming days planned during Vacation Care) MUST be submitted the same time you make your booking. If forms are not submitted, then children will not be able to attend this day and the booking will be rejected. EPOSHC is unable to chase large numbers of outstanding permission forms if these are not submitted on time.
